Thanks to All Our Listeners and A Call to Action On Children's Mental Health
During this holiday season, I want to thank everyone who listeners from around the world for supporting The Thoughtful Teacher Podcast! I enjoy serving all of you with this resource.
I am also issuing a call to action about the lack of quality mental health services for children and adolescents in the United States. We have a crisis that affects thousands of children and adolescents every day and in most states the services are not just inadequate- they are at a crisis proportion. Much of my career has been spent working with students in residential treatment or outpatient care-I know the system and the support children and adolescents need has been lacking for many years and now it is even worse. Please listen to the podcast as I share my experiences.
